This December 4 we celebrate International Cabernet Franc Day, in honor of Armand Jean Du Plessis, Cardinal – Duke of Richelieu, one of the first to promote the cultivation of this grape variety in France, in the Loire Valley.

Today, we pay tribute to a wine that continues to captivate with its timeless elegance. In this Cabernet Franc Week, we share with you how to harmonize between dishes and flavors.

Trumpeter Cabernet Franc

This wine stands out for its vibrant aromas of yellow cherries and a delicate smoky touch, the result of its 7 months in French oak. Ideal to accompany Creole stews such as locro or carbonada, its aging ensures a longevity of about five years. A red wine that seduces from the first moment, ideal for moments of great enjoyment. Ideal to accompany grilled meats, such as lamb or red meats, as well as dishes with fresh herbs and delicate sauces.

Rutini Cabernet Franc Collection

Anthology LXIX (49)

An impressive wine, composed mostly of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%), which spent 18 months in new barrels, ensuring a future of more than 15 years of cellaring. With complex aromas of cooked red fruit, vanilla and licorice, it pairs perfectly with dishes such as entraña with papas paille or Iberian ham.
