Wines for a Mom’s Day: Recommendations
On Sunday, October 16, we celebrate mothers.
To be able to honor them on their day as they deserve, is a delight and that is why we thought about the diversity of tastes and styles.
For a gift to be a dedication in itself, it is nice to adapt to each of them and their preferences or to bring them an option that expands the already acquired appreciation of wine, but that invites them to a different experience.Here, among reds, whites and rosés, some of our suggestions of varietals to give as a gift:Trumpeter Reserve Rosé de Malbec A delicate rosé made from Malbec grapes with the same process used in the winemaking process. The result is a crystalline wine with ruby-coppery reflections.
A subtle vanilla profile frames the notes of fresh red fruits such as cherry, strawberry and currant.
There are also elegant floral hints that make it different from the rest.
It is easy to drink, friendly and sophisticated.
In the mouth it feels fresh and smooth.
The 10% of this wine was fermented in barrel for two months with work on lees and has a cellaring potential of three years.
Chardonnay Encounter White wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from Tupungato, in the Uco Valley. It has an attractive steely yellow tone, with green hues.
The vibrant aromas of flowers and ripe white fruit, along with its refreshing spirit, make it unique.
It also offers subtle citrus accents of pink grapefruit and lemon to accompany its refined mouthfeel.
Its style is new, fresh and fluid.
Half of the blend was aged for ten months in French oak barrels.
It has an estimated aging potential of five years.
Rutini Gewürztraminer Collection
Something different: the Gewürztraminer variety grown at our Gualtallary estate.
It is bright yellow with greenish hues, very lively.
The nose hints of flowers, orange blossom water, white fruits, grapefruit and a spicy touch.
Fruity on the palate, it gives an ethereal and friendly palate, very consistent, with a well balanced acidity.
Complex and sophisticated.
It is aged for four months in French oak barrels where 30% of the blend was fermented and has a five-year aging potential.
This is a Merlot varietal made with grapes from our Altamira estate.
In view It displays an intense red with violet hues.
It has a generous and aromatic nose of red and black fruits, such as blackberry, and a suggestive side of cocoa and tobacco.
Candied notes appear on the palate.
It is firm on the palate, full-bodied, complex and elegant at the same time.
It is aged for twelve months in French oak, 50% of the blend in 1st use barrels and the remaining 50% in 2nd use barrels, thus ensuring a cellaring potential of up to ten years.
