Last Wednesday, July 3rd, the iconic Oviedo Restaurant <\/span>Oviedo Restaurant<\/span><\/a> celebrated its 38th anniversary with an event that brought together the best of Argentine gastronomy.
\nThe evening, which was attended by the great Narda Lepes and Javier Rodr\u00edguez in a unique pop, was a true feast for lovers of good food and drink. <\/span><\/p>\n

The restaurant, known for its long history and loyal clientele, opened its doors to two of Argentina’s most renowned chefs: <\/span>Narda Lepes<\/span><\/a> (<\/span>Narda Comedor<\/span><\/a>) y <\/span>Javier Rodr\u00edguez<\/span><\/a> from <\/span>El Papagayo<\/span><\/a>.
\nEstos maestros de la cocina deleitaron a los asistentes con un men\u00fa especial que combin\u00f3 tradici\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n, utilizando ingredientes frescos y t\u00e9cnicas culinarias exquisitas para recrear los memorables platos que Oviedo ha servido a sus clientes a lo largo de su trayectoria. <\/span><\/p>\n

Javier then commented “it was a pleasure to have worked at Oviedo, a place that since I was very young, even before I graduated, I have always considered a reference in Buenos Aires cuisine. I really enjoyed working there with Narda. We put a lot of commitment: a lot of head and many hours of work, so it has been an honor”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The evening began with a consomm\u00e9, bitter leaves, brains and tostaditas.
\nAnother starter was the classic egg with brandade.
\nThree main courses were offered: rice with baby squid, fish with lemon capers and escalopes Marsala with spinach and Spanish.
\nFor dessert, Cr\u00eape Suzette, Sambayon and Clafoutis were chosen.
\nThe dinner ended with coffee and petit fours. <\/span><\/p>\n

The menu was harmonized with labels that matched these creations such as <\/span>Rutini Collection Gew\u00fcrztraminer<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Rutini Chardonnay Collection<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Rutini Vin Doux Naturel Collection<\/span><\/a>Anthology LXI (61), <\/span>Rutini Single Vineyard Gualtallary Cabernet Franc<\/span><\/a> y <\/span>Dominio Brut Nature<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Happy with the evening, Emilio Garip – owner of Oviedo – shared his satisfaction with the celebration:<\/span> “You quickly sense in a salon when everything is going well. I call it <\/span>the music<\/span><\/i>The conversations, the laughter of the people, the noise of the plates, of the cutlery, means that everything is working well.
