Every human being, upon leaving this world, leaves behind a mixed picture of his actions and achievements, among other legacies.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The very recent loss of Elisabeth Checa -an outstanding journalist specialized in gastronomy and wine- allows us to value even more her qualities in the noble and fine profession of reporting, whether in the print, radio or television press, or in the extensive collection of annual guides on her favorite labels of whites, ros\u00e9s, reds and sparkling wines.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The articles and chronicles published in different media that bore his name and surname, as well as those signed with a “nom-de-plume” were also published. <\/span>“nom-de-plume<\/span><\/i> fictitious and mysterious (Laureano Lahitte, Manuel Lasalle) had the virtue of fully communicating the subject of the article with uncommon consistency, humor and clarity.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

A voracious reader, lover of good cinema, jazz and flamenco and the plastic arts, she considered that these universes of culture enriched and strengthened her knowledge and critical thinking about everything that linked them to the vineyard and wine.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

It was the winemaking field that she felt closest to her, and where she was cheerful and enthusiastic, dedicating to it a continuous and permanent work over several decades.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
