In the middle of the grape harvest, Mendoza received a contingent of fifteen Master Sommeliers from different parts of the world.\nThis is a select group, all members of the Court of Master Sommelliers (Chapters Europe & Americas), who arrived in our country invited by Wines of Argentina<\/a> (WofA).\nAmong them, the following stand out <\/span>Alpana Singh<\/a>, the youngest woman to obtain the certification (2003); Lu Yang, the only Master Sommelier from China, and Cristopher Bates<\/a> and Kyungmoon Kim<\/a>, from the United States, two references positioned in the TOP 50 most influential MS in social networks.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The Court of Master Sommeliers was founded in London in 1969.\nSince then it has been nurturing the elite of international wine professionals.\nOnly two hundred and thirty-six people hold the title of Master Sommelier (MS).\nThey are referents and opinion makers, which is why it is so important for WofA that they learn about Argentine wine and help expand our potential. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Other prominent figures in this select group are Frank K\u00e4mmer<\/a>, from Germany; Bryan Dawes, from the United Kingdom; Sean Razee, director of D&E Fine Wine Group in the United States; Alex La Prat, owner of Atrium Dumbo, from the United States; and Nicolas Clerc<\/a>, Brand Ambassador and Key Account Manager of Armit Wines, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Court of Master Sommeliers.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The MS were invited to de<\/span>The event featured more than 300 wines in 12 seminars designed to present the distinctive aspects of the Argentine wine industry.\nEmphasis was placed on regionalization and the different terroirs and styles offered by our country.\nMalbec, of course, was not absent.\nThe celebration of Malbec World Day<\/a> on April 17 is already beginning to be felt. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

The tour began in Mendoza, exploring the specific characteristics of the First Zone and the Uco Valley. <\/span><\/p>\n\n
