The Apartado Gran Malbec<\/a> adds one more recognition and is projected as a wine that will continue to be talked about for many years to come.
\nOn this occasion it was selected among the 100 best wines in the world by Wine Enthusiast<\/a> magazine.
\nRutini Wines’ Malbec is ranked number 78 on the list.
\nThe critic Michael Schachner, responsible for South America for this prestigious publication, awarded it 94 points and gave it a potential cellaring until 2035. <\/span><\/p>\n

These were his words: “Considering that the 2015 vintage was a difficult one, especially for high-expression red wines like this one, Apartado is a success that doesn’t let up. It is round, ripe and complex on the nose, with exotic aromas of cardamom, blueberry and rubber. The palate is intense, crisp and bright. It has blackberry and mixed spice flavors that impact drop by drop on the finish. It will drink for many years. Aged to 2035.
\nScrachner strongly recommended “buy now”. <\/span><\/p>\n

In 2018 Apartado Gran Malbec was the wine of choice for the gala dinner served in the Golden Hall of the Col\u00f3n Theater for the G20 leaders.
\nIt was also present at the launch of the book “Exploring the Extraordinary: 100 Years of Bentley Motors<\/a>” at the Detroit Marriott Troy, MI held by the world’s most prestigious car clubs: the Rolls-Royce Owners Club<\/a> (RROC) and the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club<\/a> (RREC).
\nThis Malbec, made by Mariano Di Paola and his team, has obtained excellent ratings: Descorchados Guide (97 points), James Suckling (96), Wine Enthusiast and Decanter (94), Wine Advocate-Robert Parker (93) and Tim Atkin (93). <\/span><\/p>\n

In an interview with El Descorche Diario, Mariano Di Paola highlighted the evolution of Gran Malbec and commented on the conditions for its production:<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is a vintage that, as Michael says, was a bit complicated, but the good thing was that it didn’t have too much alcohol and the skins and tannins of the clusters ripened very well. That’s why there is a very good acidity in the wine and there is a lot of concentration which allows us to think that it is a wine for long aging.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He then remarked that, although it was a year “with low grape yields, it was not so hot and the phenolic ripening had to wait a bit for the sugars to ripen. This allowed us to have good acidity and a complete maturation of tannins, coloring matter and all the polyphenols, that is the great secret”.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
