Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019: Top Restaurants

Rutini Brut Nature will be the exclusive sparkling wine at Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019, which will be held in Buenos Aires from October 8 to 10. This is the first time that the Argentine capital will host this event. It previously took place in Lima, Mexico and Bogota, and each city hosted it for two years in a row. Buenos Aires will host the seventh edition of this emblematic gastronomic festival, which will be the meeting point for chefs, restaurant owners, journalists and representatives of the gastronomic world. The venue chosen to unveil the 50 best restaurants in Latin America is the Usina del Arte. The #50BestTalks, sponsored by Miele, will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Two years ago Maido restaurant dethroned Central, which had been in the top spot for three years. In 2018 Maido triumphed again and gave Peru the top spot for the sixth consecutive time. It will have to be seen which city takes the number one spot this year. Buenos Aires comes from having ten restaurants selected, with the Don Julio grill in sixth place on the list. The voting is carried out by more than 250 industry experts who are part of the Academy of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants. In this edition, Argentine wine will have a central place. Rutini Wines is proud to accompany this gastronomic party sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna.

Eight restaurants from Argentina were selected among this year’s 50 best restaurants: Don Julio (4), Mishiguene (20), Tegui (25), Chila (29), El Baqueano (39), Elena (45), Gran Dabbang (46), Narda Comerdor (50).
