2025 harvest closing

A new harvest in our estates ended, and with it we not only obtained grapes of excellent quality, but also valuable lessons that allow us to look with enthusiasm to the future of our wines.

The 2025 vintage will be marked by its climatic particularities and for having been the earliest on record for Rutini Wines, starting on January 29 for the sparkling bases. Our team knew how to act with precision and care to obtain aromas, tannins and color from the grape clusters without sacrificing quality.

The year began with unusually high temperatures, especially in January and February, which accelerated sugar development in the clusters without reaching the desired physiological maturity. This challenge was offset by the arrival of March, which brought cloudy days and cooler temperatures, creating the ideal conditions for an optimal balance between sugar, acidity and polyphenols.

“It was a very particular vintage: we had to be very precise in every decision, because the weather changed quickly and each vineyard responded differently,” says Gonzalo Videla, agronomist at Rutini Wines. “Fortunately, April gave us an exceptional closing and we were able to harvest grapes with a great aromatic profile and excellent health”.

In addition, it was a historic harvest in terms of volume, as the record number of grapes harvested was exceeded by 20%. All the efforts and results consolidate a solid base of commitment to produce wines that continue to proudly represent the potential of our terroirs in the Uco Valley.
