Harvest Log 2025

Gonzalo Videla, agronomist in charge of Rutini’s vineyards, reviews the main challenges and achievements of the first months of this year’s harvest. He assures that March brings an encouraging forecast.
The 2025 vintage in the Mendoza vineyards has been a real challenge, marked by unusually high temperatures in January and February. The warm nights affected the ripening process, but thanks to careful management and the efforts of the Rutini team, the harvest has been on track with promising results. “It was an extremely warm February, perhaps the most intense in the last 50 years, but with proper management we are obtaining grapes with great potential,” explains Gonzalo.
Due to these conditions, the harvest was brought forward 10 to 15 days from the usual schedule to preserve the balance between ripeness and freshness. “We have already finished harvesting white varieties in the Uco Valley and other key areas, and we have started with the reds,” Videla explains.
March brings an encouraging forecast, with cooler temperatures that favor final ripening. The key will be to continue working with precision, adapting to the needs of each vineyard and making strategic decisions at the right time.
Although this vintage has been different from previous ones, the combination of experience, technique and dedication allows us to anticipate excellent results. “We are going to have high quality grapes in many areas. It has been a year of learning and adaptation, but the essence of our wines remains intact,” concludes Videla.
With each cluster harvested, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence, transforming challenges into opportunities to create extraordinary wines.
