Patricio Tapia visited Rutini Wines, in view of its 2026 report.

Mariano Di Paola received Patricio in Gualtallary, where they tasted the winery’s wine portfolio in preparation for the next edition of the renowned Descorchados Guide.

The visit of the wine journalist and author of the Descorchados Guide was part of his annual tour of the main terroirs of Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay, with the aim of tasting the wines that will be included in the 2026 edition of his publication.

Tapia, the undisputed benchmark of wine criticism in Latin America, conducted an exhaustive tasting of our portfolio, guided by our winemaking team led by Mariano Di Paola. It was a day of deep exchange, in which we shared the vision behind each wine, the details of winemaking and the spirit that defines Rutini: Quality, consistency and innovation.

True to his style, Tapia made it clear that his approach is personal and non-transferable: “We feel that objectivity in the world of wine does not exist. What you are going to find in this guide is one person’s opinion, with all the subjectivity that implies.” His visit reinforces our commitment to sustained quality, the artisanal work in the vineyard and winery, and the continuous dialogue with those who, from a critical point of view, also seek to celebrate the authenticity of each wine.
