Rutini: 2025 Vintage Report: what will the wines of this unforgettable vintage be like?

Historic snowfall in the mountains, a perfect spring and an intense summer gave way to a vintage that is already a trend-setter: the 2025 vintage will be remembered as one of Rutini’s most abundant, generous and exceptional.
In the Uco Valley, both Gualtallary, El Cepillo and La Consulta experienced a challenging but generous climatic cycle. The heat waves brought forward the first harvests of sparkling wines and whites, while the rains at the end of February and beginning of March, together with the cool temperatures in February, allowed for a slow and balanced ripening, resulting in fresh, vibrant wines full of character.
What will the wines of the 2025 vintage be like?
“2025 will be synonymous with large volumes and winemaking excellence,” summarizes Gonzalo Videla, Rutini Wines’ Chief Winemaker. A statement that anticipates what we will soon be able to enjoy in every glass: wines of irresistible freshness, marked typicity and a cellaring potential that promises long-lasting emotions.
- White and sparkling wines: due to the early start of the harvest, wines of vibrant freshness, great health and intense aromatic expressions were achieved.
- Reds: the cooler weather in February and March gave time for phenolic ripeness (tannins, color, aromas) to reach the right point without increasing alcohol too much. This means balanced, elegant and expressive wines, with acidity that brings liveliness and freshness.
With more than a century of history, Rutini is writing a new chapter in its legacy: transforming each vintage into a mirror of the Andean terroir, with the precision, patience and commitment that define us.
