A Singular vintage: How the 2026 harvest unfolded at Rutini

Freshness, balance and terroir expression defined the 2026 harvest at Rutini’s vineyards, one of the most distinctive vintages in recent years.
The 2026 harvest left one of the most distinctive vintages of recent years in the Uco Valley. A cool cycle, accompanied by unusual rainfall for Mendoza, gave rise to wines of great freshness, balance, and terroir expression.
Juan Pablo Murgia, Rutini’s winemaker, highlights some of the defining characteristics of this harvest: “A first stage of whites — as I like to call them — with great clarity and transparency.” The reds also stood out for their quality, with “very deep wines with a level of purity that truly marks the vintage.”
These conditions favored balanced ripening and a precise expression of each variety and terroir. The white wines stand out for their freshness, natural acidity, and aromatic definition, while the reds show diverse profiles combining purity, volume, and energy.
The harvest also revealed very marked differences between distinct origins in the Uco Valley. Gualtallary and El Cepillo clearly expressed their particularities, contributing identity and diversity to the resulting wines.
A vintage that will give rise to wines of great character and will continue enriching the Rutini Wines portfolio. Explore our labels in the online store.
